Job Description

We invite applicants for full time Teaching Assistant position in the Department of Political Science. This would be for one-year contract period with a salary that commensurate with qualifications and experience. The full time TA would be teaching in the following areas:

Political Science
Global Studies

Responsibilities: Successful candidate will carry out the following duties

Attend lectures for those courses he/she is teaching
Conduct tutorial section
Mark CA and exam scripts
Provide students’ consultation to clarify doubts on the courses
Assist in examination matters (e.g. invigilation duties)
Key in of course marks online
Any other work related and admin responsibilities as required by the department

Qualifications

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have at least a good undergraduate Honours degree in Social Science (e.g. Political Science) or equivalent. Prior teaching experience preferred but not essential. Good interpersonal skills and collegiality.

Good spoken and written communication skills.
