Assistant Vice President, Regional Trade Operations - Project Management - Toa Payoh

Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Regional Trade projects, including collaborating with GTS, Ops and Tech and all other stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical project milestones and deliverables.
  2. Develop project plans identifying schedules, specifications, risks and contingency plans.
  3. Handle multiple large scale and/or moderately complex project deliverables concurrently.
  4. Understand functional requirements, articulate and document user requirements, and participate in review sessions with key stakeholders.
  5. Continuously gather feedback from all project team members to track progress and mitigate risk.
  6. Maintain awareness of technical progress and risks for assigned projects, confer with technical personnel to resolve issues, and drive corrective actions.
  7. Prepare project status reports and facilitate both technical and non-technical meetings/design reviews in order to keep management and other stakeholders informed of project status and related issues.
  8. Conduct review/walkthrough sessions with key stakeholders (e.g., Product GTS, Operations BAU, testers, and Technology teams) for the following documents:
  9. User stories
  10. Functional specifications documents
  11. Test plan and test cases
  12. Roll-out training material
  13. Track and monitor production issues with Tech and Ops.
  14. Participate in the pre-implementation preparation and post-implementation support exercises including end-user live verification during roll-out.
Requirements
  1. More than 8 years of strong project management experience with a proven track record (waterfall or agile model).
  2. Relevant knowledge on Trade systems and experience as a system end user will be advantageous.
  3. Proven experience in requirements gathering, functional testing, and conducting training for end-users.
  4. Expertise in analyzing customer requirements and translating them into user stories, test strategy, and test cases.
  5. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Demonstrates good work ethics, adapts to changes, and delivers within tight timelines.
  7. Highly detail-oriented, organized, and organizationally agile individual preferred.
  8. Ability to operate self-sufficiently under strategic direction.
  9. Willingness to adapt to dynamic circumstances.
  10. Expert with Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and other project tools.
