Assistant Manager/Manager, Industry Engagement - Toa Payoh
The role will involve mapping industry sectors that have creative jobs but are not necessarily engaged in the arts. This may include sectors such as technology, consumer products, online shopping, financial companies and banks, startups, and disruptors of all nature.
The Assistant Manager/Manager will be responsible for meeting external companies in an effort to build UAS’s brand and name recognition, while concurrently marketing UAS interns, collaborations with UAS involving students, and expanding the range of companies represented at the UAS Career Fair.
The Assistant Manager/Manager will also be on the UAS Industry Panel, assessing collaboration proposals coming into the University. They will work closely with forward deployed Industry Managers representing LASALLE and NAFA in the identification and implementation of collaborations and projects.
The ideal candidate will be required to be a strong team player who is comfortable in establishing new contacts and networking to build the University’s industry footprint in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Sector Mapping- Map industry sectors that provide creative job opportunities beyond the traditional arts, including technology, consumer products, online shopping, financial companies, banks, startups and disruptors of all nature.
- Share findings with forward-deployed AI managers to keep the centralized Careers team informed about current trends and practices.
- Meet with external companies to enhance UAS’s brand and name recognition.
- Market UAS interns, promote collaboration opportunities involving UAS students, and expand the range of companies represented at the UAS Career Fair.
- Serve as the central manager for joint industry projects involving both NAFA and LASALLE.
- Foster relationships and outline project scopes for proposals received from external companies, and collaborate with forward-deployed managers to coordinate with the appropriate faculty at each AI institution.
- Oversee invitations and manage all industry speakers and attendees for the UAS Career Fair.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, industry engagement, or a related role.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and managing partnerships and relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills and a pleasant disposition.
- Passion for advancing academic and industry synergies.
- Outgoing personality, comfortable with meeting staff in external events.
