Machinery Supervisor - Tampines

 A.  Job Summary:

The supervisor works closely with operators, mechanics, and project managers to ensure smooth equipment operations.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

The Machinery Supervisor is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

• Oversee the daily operations of construction machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, dump trucks, loaders, concrete mixers, and drilling rigs.
• Ensure that all machinery is operated correctly and used as per manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure the availability and proper allocation of equipment on-site.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
• Coordinate with mechanics and technicians for the repair and servicing of construction machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and take corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance logs, and repair reports.
• Ensure all machinery operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Train operators on safe equipment handling, emergency response, and best practices.
• Enforce compliance with industry safety standards such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and local construction regulations.
• Work with site managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure machinery availability.
• Track fuel consumption, machine hours, and maintenance costs to optimize efficiency.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on equipment performance and operational issues.
• Provide recommendations for machinery upgrades, spare parts procurement, and operational improvements.

(C) Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment management, maintenance, or construction machinery supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction machinery, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
