The Solutions Architect is a seasoned subject matter expert, primarily responsible consulting with the client and working with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs and the architectural vision for complex solutions that address the clients’ needs.
This role provides multi-technology consulting services on all aspects of application software, infrastructure and related technology components.
What you'll be doing
They work closely with Enterprise Account Sales Managers and Specialist Security Sales. The role works most closely with Specialist Sales, playing a crucial part of the direct enterprise sales engagement with End User Clients in Singapore.
The role requires an organized, driven individual with demonstrable experience in engaging Senior IT Security Management, Client Security Architects, Client Security Operations personnel as well and Security technology suppliers Sales, and Subject Matter Experts, SME’s.
Primary duties of the Security Solution Architect are to capture and evaluate End User requirements, develop differentiated and profitable solutions, designs and services to meet and exceed Clients requirements and expectations whilst fitting within Client budgets.
The Solutions Architect is sufficiently experienced to work unsupervised, extensively with Sales Specialists, Delivery and external third parties with a clear focus on the Technical Close. A practical and focused approach to optimizing solution and designs in order to meet End User Client deliverables whilst remaining profitable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The appropriate candidate will play a key role in the Clients Cybersecurity Go To Market (GTM) program, focused on the largest, high touch accounts in Singapore.
- The individual will be required to rapidly engage with the key Security Contacts within the End User Accounts, and Projects assigned, to establish credibility, to build and nurture Security relationships based on expertise and demonstrable value.
- The Security Solution Architect will be part of NTT’s Cybersecurity Community of Practice (COP), and therefore have access to colleagues in the region and worldwide as well as the custom Security Tools, IP and Support available to frontline Sales and Technical Pre-sales to facilitate Client engagement, solution and service design.
- Primary activities would range from Solution Design, Client Presentations, Proposal Preparations, RFP and Tender Bid Responses.
- The Security Solution Architect would be expected to stay current with the external security threat landscape, industry best practices in order to initiate and recommend timely adjustments to the End User Client security operations controls, processes and procedures.
- The Security Solution Architect will be heavily involved in technical controls selection and evaluation as part of the new technology acquisition, introduction and onboarding into the Client’s environment.
- This means, deep involvement in detailed competitive evaluations for best fit, gap analyses of existing vs desired state enterprise security architecture, supporting Sales Specialists and Account Managers to develop business justifications for project and funding approvals etc…
- A Lifelong Learning mindset is essential, as Cybersecurity expertise forms only an entry path into the Solution Architect role. The Solution Architect is required to have Techno-Commercial and practical view to solution design and development and must have an absolute commitment to crafting solutions exploiting NTT’s world class Security Services, requiring the rapid acquisition of skills and eventual mastery of adjacent technology domains such as the Hyperscalers, Hybrid Workspace and OT/IOT domains.
- At all times the selected individual will work very closely with the Head of Solutions Architecture Team to ensure the accomplishment of the Solution Architects Team Objectives.
Educational Requirements:
Graduate from recognized tertiary Institution
Employment Experience:
- Minimum of (8) years, in Technical Pre-sales role in security, especially in public sector.
- Practical working experience, Technical certifications from leading Enterprise Security Suppliers:
Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, McAfee, Symantec, Trend Micro, Splunk, IBM Security, CyberArk
