Oil Market Analyst – Full time – Singapore - Geylang

FACTS Global Energy (FGE), a leading global energy consultancy specializing in oil, gas/LNG, and NGL market research and analysis, is expanding its Singapore operations. The position, based in Singapore, offers an opportunity for a young, dynamic individual seeking career growth opportunities with international market exposure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Become part of FGE’s global oil team and take a lead role in conducting oil market research and analysis.
• Work closely with other oil and gas experts in our international offices to provide strategic and analytical input to the research and consulting group.
• Construct and maintain databases for key oil statistics, derive key trends, and convert these observations into insightful notes.
• Prepare analytical reports in a timely, relevant, and thought-provoking manner.
• Fulfil the group's research and consulting mandate as well as participate in ad-hoc projects.
• Think creatively and do independent research as well as work with a project team.
• Develop the skills to interact with and present to clients in one-on-one meetings and seminars.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and market participants to gather market information and develop business opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, economics, business administration or related discipline.
• Knowledge of oil/energy markets and/or financial markets is an advantage, with 0 to 2 years of oil industry/consulting experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to obtain pertinent information and develop effective models.
• Ability to do independent research and work with a project team.
• Excellent numeracy/written skills and comfortable working with large data sets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge in fuel oil market is a plus, but not essential.
• Fluency in English is essential for this role.
