Business Intelligence Developer - Yishun

Responsibilities:

• Supporting and designing advanced PowerBI solutions, including real time analytical dashboards, underpinned by measurement for improvement and bespoke data analysis.
• Develop PowerBI reports to interpret and visualise data to drive business decision making
• Turning data into actionable insights by designing and developing various Business Intelligence reports, dashboards, and data visualizations by using advanced SQL skills to produce procedures based on business / functional requirements.
• Connect complex datasets, develop various data modelling & Datawarehouse, automate insightful BI reporting by harness cutting-edge software, BI and data warehousing tools.
• Configure pipelines for data ingestion with various software tools
• Use appropriate Database solutions to structure the data for reporting
• Use data validation techniques to ensure information reported is valid, consistent, and accurate.
• Reviews, identifies areas for improvement and makes recommendations to stakeholders in the leadership positions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college/university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related studies.
• 8 to 12 years overall software engineering, development and support experience, with advanced PowerBI skills for data interpretation, analysis, and manipulation.
• At least 6 years of Microsoft Business Intelligence (SSRS, SSIS and SSAS) application development and support experience. Must have extensive experience working with Microsoft BI Stack, SSRS and SSIS at an advance level.
• Extensive experience in working on BI solutions in various ERP subject areas (Sales, Inventory, Quoting, Order Management, Purchasing, Shipping, Costing, Pricing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger). Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Service, SQL, DAX, and data modelling techniques. Extensive experience with SSIS ETL processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in authoring complex queries in SQL & familiarity in underlying Microsoft Dynamics AX applications database architecture. Must understand the AX / Da Vinci database schema to a high level to efficiently provide a working solution for the change requests.
• Experience of working with SQL and Azure Data Services
• Strong knowledge on SQL Server and Performance tuning
• Proficiency in data modelling and ETL processes. Hands-on experience in design and implementation of Data Warehousing solutions.
• A solid understanding of data validation techniques to ensure information reported is valid, consistent, and accurate
• Understanding of Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning Principles
• Understanding of Agile delivery methods, Data Quality standards and Data security principles.
• Applicant should have the ability to see potential performance enhancements on the current BI SQL procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
