Assistant Manager, Marketing

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Assistant Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence, managing social media outreach, organizing Learning Journeys, and assisting in the development and execution of our marketing strategy.

This role is essential in raising awareness and garnering support for our cause.

Primary Duties
  • Support the development and the execution of the marketing strategy
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and deploy strategies and marketing plans for the organization.
  • Coach and work closely with the marketing executive to ensure effective contribution to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Branding Support:

  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing the charity's brand identity and guidelines.
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with brand guidelines.

Social Media Outreach:

  • Manage and grow the charity's social media presence across various platforms.
  • Create and schedule engaging content to drive awareness and engagement.

Website and Digital Marketing:

  • Manage and maintain the charity's websites.
  • Collaborate with vendors to develop and deploy Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies.

Hosting Learning Journeys:

  • Plan and execute Learning Journeys to educate stakeholders about our mission and impact.

Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Assist in developing comprehensive marketing strategies to support fundraising and branding/awareness campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Analyse marketing campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Collaborations:

  • Identify and engage with potential partners to enhance marketing efforts.
  • Maintain existing relationships with existing partners and volunteers.
  • Support partnership events.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with budget management and reporting.
  • Maintain marketing databases and track key performance metrics.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Report to and provide regular feedback to the Director of CP and Marketing or the designate.
  • Coach and mentor staff/executive, interns, trainees, or temporary staff as needed.
  • Work with the Marketing Committee, including a Board member (marketing expert), to support the development of the marketing plan for the coming years.

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all promotional activities and other commitments undertaken by Boys’ Town, such as Learning Journeys and relevant events.
  • Dedicate 20% of the role to be an active member of the PDPA Core team focusing on compliance and best practices for media-related data protection.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff, departments, and components of Boys’ Town.
  • Comply with internal or external audit requirements or MSF case management/audit processes.
  • Support or monitor relevant SOPs and participate in the audit process if necessary.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Director or their representative, as required for the operational needs of Boys’ Town.
Average Qualifications & years of relevant experience
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for the charity's mission and values.
