The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function.Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
We are seeking a Research Associate to join the Protein Production Platform (PPP) at SBS. PPP is a service group operating under the Biosciences Research Center, providing expertise and support for protein production projects.
Key Responsibilites- Perform routine experiments independently.
- Support the PPP manager and team members with molecular biology and protein production experiments.
- Assist with lab maintenance and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Present results and contribute to project discussions and lab meetings.
- Interact with PPP users, including exchanging materials and explaining data, in collaboration with the PPP manager.
- Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory skills (e.g., pipetting, media and buffer preparation).
- Working knowledge of molecular cloning techniques.
- Experience in recombinant protein production and eukaryotic (insect or mammalian) cell culture is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
