Position Summary (Purpose and Fundamental Goals of the Position):

  • The Talent Acquisition Leader APAC will be responsible for supporting strategy through the development and implementation of Talent Acquisition strategy for the region. Responsibilities include all tasks relating to Talent Acquisition.
  • The TA leader will develop and implement the APAC Talent Strategy in alignment with the APAC HR leaders and the global TA leaders. This includes the selection, collaboration, management and supervision of recruiting outsourcing providers (RPO), headhunters and recruiting agencies.
  • Responsible for collating and coordinating relevant data on the region’s talent acquisition to identify, monitor and report talent metrics routinely.
  • Accountable for providing the appropriate Talent Acquisition processes and staffing models regionally across APAC, and in line with global requirements. Acts as a consultant to regional HR Leadership Team in the recommendation & establishment of Talent Acquisition solutions.
  • Responsible for the development and rollout of communication, change management and training plans to enhance interviewing and talent selection skills on manager’s and HR’s level.
  • Supervises and harmonizes standards and policies across the region. Identifies and implements new and state-of-the-art talent acquisition tools.
  • Leads the development of the company’s APAC employer brand and the initiatives to make the company in APAC an attractive Employer of Choice.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy development & implementation
  • Develops and implements the APAC Talent Strategy in alignment with the Senior Director T&C APAC, the APAC HR leaders as well as the global TA leaders
  • Designs and delivers regional Talent Acquisition solutions, policies & processes that support the execution of business strategies and optimize the hiring process whilst enhancing the candidate experience.
  • Collates and analyzes key Talent Acquisition data, reports and KPI to determine areas requiring focus, improvements or the celebration of accomplishments
  • Ensures the implementation of global TA standards, metrics and initiatives
  • Maintains and delivers the RPO activities across the APAC region and manages the overall vendor relationships as the key stakeholder at a strategic organizational level. Organizes and participates in quarterly and annual service reviews of the recruitment service vendor.
  • Provides Talent Acquisition leadership, subject matter expertise, consultative guidance and support through partnership with HR, regional businesses, regional functions and countries.
  • Leads the harmonization and standardization of APAC TA systems, tools, processes and metrics
  • Supports the development of specialized or competitive intelligence and research in regards to TA
  • Provides support to the Senior Director T&C to identify future talent needs and in recruiting and sourcing; leads the development and implementation of talent pools and social media talent engagements
  • Develops campus recruiting programs & campaigns for use in the region
  • Assists in the selection and usage of appropriate talent assessment instruments/methodologies for the region’s talent needs and ensures alignment across the region
Management of external providers
  • Develops relationships with third party RPO providers, recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manages the procurement and measurement process
  • Collects relevant data, tracks the fulfillment of KPIs and service-level agreements (SLA) and measures success
  • Collaborates with external providers regarding improvement action plans and further initiatives
Training, communication and change management
  • Leads the communication and change management initiatives to harmonize standards, policies and processes in the region
  • Identifies training, communication and change management needs and develops appropriate tools and materials while leveraging existing materials and tools in other regions
  • Collaborates with the country HR teams to rollout appropriate programs and tools
  • Collaborates with the BD University (BDU) team in developing and rolling out appropriate programs and provides feedback on improvement areas
Collaboration with stakeholders
  • Acts as point of contact with the global TA team for dissemination of TA related information or compilation of TA related data within the APAC region
  • Assists with both external and internal hiring efforts (liaison with recruitment agencies, executive search firms etc) more senior roles or specific recruitment efforts.
  • Works with HR leaders and managers on job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, talent planning,
  • Where required, provides recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers and HRBPs with hiring and employment data.
Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, preferably Master’s Degree or similar 5-7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, including project leadership roles, ideally in a MNC environment
  • Experience in learning and development, as well as other related HR fields preferable
Professional Skills & Key Competencies
  • Deep understanding of Talent Acquisition models, best practices and processes Ability to develop a long-term Talent Acquisition strategy and to design and build Talent Acquisition models for the APAC region and act as the lead of the regional Talent Acquisition Centre of Expertise.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, for leading, teaching and corresponding at all levels of the organization, for being the voice of the region globally, and to ensure that the region aligns to and adapts where required the global Talent Acquisition policies and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and influencing skills, to work across the region and with individuals from different countries and cultures as well as strong customer focus and relationship management skills at senior levels
  • Ability to manage the large-scale vendor programme and multiple internal stakeholders across the region, at varying levels of seniority
  • Ability to lead others and to influence without authority in the other countries within the region, providing direction to other internal recruitment professionals and also to the recruitment vendor
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates drive for results, enthusiasm and high energy-level
  • Strong project and process management experience
