Hydraulic Field Service Technician (Aviation/ MRO Tooling & Equipment) - Woodlands

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic test stands used in the aviation industry.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, actuators, filters, and pressure gauges.
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic system issues, such as leaks, pressure fluctuations, and component failures.
- Calibrate and validate hydraulic test stands to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand their specific requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of hydraulic test stands.
- Document service activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance, accurately and thoroughly.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to hydraulic systems and equipment in the aviation/MRO sector.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance the performance and efficiency of hydraulic test stands.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and guidelines during service and maintenance activities.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- NITEC in Mechanical Technology / Polytechnic Diploma (Mechatronic / Industrial machinery); additional technical certifications or relevant education and experience is a plus.
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience as a Hydraulic Field Service Technician, working with Powerpacks & common hydraulic system elements (Relief valves, filters, DCV, Regulators, etc) , preferably in the aviation/MRO industry. Other similar technical industries (Oil/Gas/ Marine) will be considered.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting hydraulic systems, components, or equipment commonly used in aviation maintenance and testing.
- Knowledge of calibrating and validating hydraulic test equipment (Pressure Gauges, Flowmeters) for accurate testing and measurement.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use various hand tools and specialized hydraulic testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze and resolve technical issues.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing service tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for on-site service and support, as required.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all relevant safety procedures and guidelines.
- Knowledge of Electrical Diagrams and Machining / Fabrication
- Posession of Class 3 license is a plus
