CORPORATE PLANNING MANAGER
We are seeking a suitable and qualified candidate to fill the position of Corporate Planning Manager. This position will report directly to the Deputy General Manager of the Bank.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the financial and accounting functions including statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Banking Act, MAS Directives and Notices, Companies Act, and management of rules related to Japanese GAAP accounting standard, internal policies, and procedures.He will continue to collaborate with Head Office on branch data requirements through understanding of MAS regulatory reporting and support for accounting system replacement.
The incumbent will act as a liaison between Head Office relevant departments and the branch from time to time in order to interpret and apply HO policies and rules to the branch, and co-ordinate necessary works and operation within the branch.He will be responsible for strengthening the execution of internal controls, including close collaboration in front office departments’ operation.
The incumbent will also provide support to senior management on projects such as to strengthen the internal controls within the branch, promote branch reorganization, support for front-office business strategy and implementing policies and procedures for front-office business regulations.
In addition, the incumbent will assist in overall business planning, profitability analysis, performance management and recommend appropriate business strategies and plans.
Applicants should possess a degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accountancy with more than 12 years’ experience in similar capacity in a corporate banking environment. The nature of the job will require the person to be familiar with the Japanese GAAP and business processes and have a good understanding of the working culture of Japanese organization.High proficiency in the Japanese Language, both spoken and written is essential for this role. Candidates should be highly analytical and possess strong leadership qualities, communication and interpersonal skills. Overseas travel may be required on an ad-hoc basis.
Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
