Senior General Manager

Responsibilities:

Geographical Area of Responsibility: Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Pakistan, and another region assigned by Headquarter.

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement both long-term and short-term regional strategic plans aligned with headquarters' direction to maximize revenue in assigned areas.
• Drive and lead the Healthcare Division to achieve sales targets set by the company.

Sales & Channel Expansion:

• Enhance direct sales in Singapore while expanding sales channels across the region.
• Strengthen the foundation of the Healthcare Division, with focus on the Life Science (Microscope) and Eye Care sectors, including workforce expansion and solidifying the regional operational structure.

Departmental Synergy:

• Lead and integrate Sales, Marketing, and Applications teams into a unified department to create synergy and accelerate revenue growth.
• Oversee Planning, Administration, and Service divisions to ensure comprehensive management of the Healthcare Division.

Product Positioning & Marketing:

• Promote high-end system products by strengthening application and marketing response capabilities in collaboration with Asian subsidiaries to enhance brand positioning.
• Gather market, competitor, and regulatory information to execute optimal new product launch plans while providing feedback to headquarters for future product development.

Talent Development:

• Train and develop team members to adapt to dynamic business environments.
• Create and execute training plans while providing guidance to nurture talent.

Profitability & Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor profitability by region and product, taking necessary actions to improve profit margins.
• Strengthen collaboration with local Asian subsidiaries on marketing strategies to enhance overall sales performance.

Client & Distributor Relations:

• Build trust with key clients and distributors through effective networking and relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory standards across all activities.
• As Regional Headquarter (RHQ) for the Asia region, establish and maintain smooth communication and build good relationship with Nikon Headquarters Healthcare Business Division and all subsidiaries.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progression reports/meetings to update to Headquarter in Japan.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Technology, or Biotechnology.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of regional sales and planning experience in the microscope industry.
• Experience in implementing business strategy and translate Japan Headquarter directions, strategy and policies to the to Asia, Oceania and Middle East regions.
• Excellent communication skill is needed to communicate with Japan HQ and all business stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to create and execute business plans.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive results.
• Proven experience managing business relationships with distributors.
• Critical and logical thinking combined with strong analytical capabilities.
• Exceptional negotiation skills.
