Customer Service (Air & Sea Freight/Import/Export/Customer Support) LT46 - Choa Chu Kang

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage local and overseas customer accounts efficiently.
• Process customer orders by issuing sales order forms and entering them into the SAP system.
• Raise purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders for suppliers when necessary.
• Update and obtain price approvals in SAP as needed.
• Liaise with Procurement / suppliers & warehouse to confirm stock availability and plan delivery schedules.
• Inform customers about delivery dates and provide updates on the status of their orders.
• Book outgoing shipments with transporters or forwarders and confirm flight/vessel details.
• Follow up to ensure outgoing shipments have been picked up by the forwarder.
• Monitor past-due orders and overdue accounts receivable and escalate issues as needed.
• Apply for certificates of origin and print certificates of analysis when necessary.
• Prepare documents on TRADENET and verify freight invoices with the Accounts Department.
• Adjust orders for cancellations or changes and send revised confirmations.
• Prepare consignment notes for courier services and arrange for collection.
• Report short shipments, damaged, or missing cargo to the Trouble and Claims Team for claims against the insurance company.
• Ensure the smooth flow of outgoing shipments and maintain relevant documentation.
• Provide track and trace visibility of shipment status to customers, highlighting any risks such as stock-outs or expired items.
• Answer telephone calls and assist with customer inquiries.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by Management.
