Software Project Manager - Smart Manufacturing / Industrial Automation - Geylang

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will lead cross functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets and ensure successful deployment of enterprise grade software solutions

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop project plans, define scope, set milestones, and ensure timely execution of software development projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Business units, Engineering, IT, Product management, operations) and external stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals.
• Manage project resources, assign tasks, and ensure optimal utilization of development teams.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues.
• Monitor project budgets, control costs, and optimize expenditures.
• Ensure software solutions meet industry regulations, company standards, and customer expectations.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives), track progress using project management tools, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain project documentation, provide regular progress reports to senior management, and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent
• PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP certification
• 5+ years of experience in software project management, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Proven experience managing software development projects using Agile, Scrum, or other methodologies.
• Solid technical background in Azure Cloud architecture, software development processes and programming.
• Experience working with industrial automation, IoT, or equipment control systems

Ideal Skills:

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with software development tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, OPC UA, etc.) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial software solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with diverse teams.
