Junior Medical Technologist - Bukit Merah

Job Scope:

• To perform Paediatric Urology investigations which including Simple Urodynamics Study, Complex Urodynamics Study, Uroflow studies, Residual Urine Measurement, and etc.
• To perform Paediatric Surgery Outpatient Day Procedures which including change of Gastrostomy tube/button, Rectal washout and Clean Intermittent Catherisation (CIC).
• To schedule for sedation team and anaesthetic team support for above mentioned investigations and procedures that may require sedation or general anaesthesia.
• To provide appropriate instructions to patient for follow-up review at specialist clinic.
• Attend to patients’ enquiry and provide them with accurate information.
• To participate in department service quality and improvement program.
• Ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Responsible for equipment and instruments calibration.
• Assist to set up the machine or equipment for the study.
• To perform Uroflowmetry studies and Residual Urine measurements as requested by doctors.

Job Requirements:

• A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science / Biomedical Science / Biotechnology or equivalent
• Preferably 1-2 years of related work experience in clinical service.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
