Geylang - IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a proactive IT Support & Infrastructure Engineer

(On-site) who can work independently to manage and maintain servers, IT infrastructure, and user support services. This role involves setting up and troubleshooting hardware, managing user accounts, overseeing network connectivity, and handling basic facility maintenance for a group of co-located businesses in Orchard Road.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a hands-on approach to IT operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Server & Infrastructure Support

• Maintain and monitor physical servers in the office, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Perform routine system updates, securitypatches, and basic server health checks.
• Collaborate with senior IT/DevOps staff on system improvements, upgrades, and automation.
• Assist in managing cloud or hybrid infrastructure where applicable.

1. Desktop Support & Onboarding

• Set up and configure computers for new employees (Windows/macOS).
• Manage computer returns, resets, and redeployment for departing staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on user desktops and laptops.

1. User Account & Access Management

• Create and manage user accounts in Office 365 and Google Workspace.
• Configure email, permissions, and system access for staff as per organizational policies.

1. Network & Connectivity

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (WiFi, LAN, switches, routers).
• Assist in maintaining network hardware and resolving connectivity problems.

1. Printers & Multifunction Devices

• Set up and configure printers and multifunction devices with access control.
• Troubleshoot printer issues and ensure supplies are maintained.

1. Hardware & Facility Maintenance

• Perform basic hardware maintenance, including replacing desktop/laptop components.
• Oversee and troubleshoot CCTV camera systems and door access control systems.
• Handle minor facility-related tasks such as replacing light bulbs and ensuring workspaces remain functional.

1. Growth & Learning Opportunities

• Gain hands-on exposure to Cloud/DevOps projects (AWS, Azure, CI/CD).
• Work closely with the software development team to learn about IT automation and modern infrastructure management.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure management.
• Strong hardware skills – Desktop, Laptop, Printer, Scanner.
• Experience in desktop support (Windows/macOS) and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of Office 365 and Google Workspace user management.
• Familiarity with network fundamentals (IP addressing, routers, WiFi).
• Ability to lift and move equipment (servers, printers, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to follow internal processes and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Interest in DevOps, scripting, or automation.
