Key Responsibilities:
- Business Requirement Gathering:
- Engage with Users, and product specialists to gather detailed business requirements related to structured products (e.g., TRS, CDS etc.).
- Conduct in-depth interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand client needs and convert them into functional specifications for trading and risk management systems.
- Focus on aligning business requirements with financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the one of key point of contact for users and all dependent applications ensuring that requirements are clearly understood and prioritized.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients to ensure alignment of structured product strategies with business objectives.
- Solution Design & Validation:
- Collaborate with Dev and quality team to design and validate solutions that meet the requirements of structured product trading, risk, and reporting systems.
- Ensure that the solutions meet business needs, comply with industry standards, and are scalable to accommodate future requirements.
- Assist in the testing and validation of structured products to ensure proper execution, pricing, and reporting within systems.
- Project Leadership:
- Leading Core business analysts focusing on CORE, ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Provide direction and mentorship to junior analysts in understanding complex structured product concepts and requirements.
- Prioritize and manage the tasks for the team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of solutions.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze existing processes within the structured products domain and identify areas for optimization, particularly in terms of trade lifecycle management, risk assessment, and compliance tracking.
- Recommend process improvements and enhancements for structured product workflows to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure compliance.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation on business requirements, use cases, and system workflows specific to structured products.
- Develop reports and presentations to communicate the progress of the structured products project to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with financial industry standards.
- Training & Mentorship:
- Provide mentorship to junior business analysts and team members, fostering their growth in the structured products domain.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure all team members are knowledgeable about structured product concepts, regulations, and tools.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations related to structured products, incorporating this knowledge into solution design and process optimization.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the business analysis team to enhance structured product development and delivery.
Job requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 7-8 years of experience specifically working with derivative products
- Proven track record in working on projects of large scale involving system implementation, process improvement, or risk management.
- Strong experience with financial systems, trading platforms, and portfolio management tools related to structured products.
Skills & Competencies:
- Financial Expertise: In-depth understanding of structured products, derivatives, risk management, and financial instruments.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems in the structured products domain and translate them into clear and actionable requirements.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communication to clearly convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage relationships with traders, portfolio managers, risk managers, and clients to ensure that requirements are gathered and prioritized accurately.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and manage teams of business analysts, guiding them through complex structured product-related projects.
- Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale projects involving structured products, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with financial systems such as Bloomberg, Reuters, trade management platforms, and business analysis tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in the context of structured product pricing, risk analysis, and compliance.
- Process Improvement: Experience in optimizing business processes within financial institutions, specifically in trading and risk management areas related to structured products.
- Client-Facing Experience: Comfortable working onsite with clients in the structured products domain, understanding their requirements, and translating them into feasible solutions
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work onsite with clients, including international travel as required.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for structured products (e.g., Dodd-Frank, MiFID II) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is highly desirable.
