Bukit Batok - Senior Manager, Facilities, Maintenance, Health & Safety

We are an Engineering and Construction company. Due to expansion, we are looking for an expert in Facilities, Maintenance, Health, Environment and Safety to oversee 3 warehouses and 1 construction yard.

When there are maintenance emergencies, he/she has to make sure that they get fixed quickly.

• Attend to feedback by tenants/clients and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Carry out safety site inspections.
• Conduct periodic review of work instruction manuals.
• Develop and implement facility emergency plans.
• Manage and lead maintenance staff to perform their roles efficiently and professionally.
• Supervise and manage contractors in fulfilling their contractual obligations.

Responsibilities include managing HSE business resources, including manpower, equipment and external vendors. The analytical and resourceful individual also leads a department and make business decisions independently.

• Analyse WSH risk assessment reports to determine hazards.
• Analyse Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) reports to determine key themes.
• Develop a compliance strategy with internal stakeholders to achieve acceptable level of internal compliance and industry standards.
• Develop programmes that enhance WSH standards and practices.
• Drive behavioural change at organisational level to address non-conformance of WSH standards.
• Engage senior management for buy-in to implement solution identified.
• Formulate better ways to approach problems through synthesising and reorganising the problem information.
• Influence stakeholders' perspectives of requirements and activities.
• Lead discussions on WSH reports and findings.
• Lead team or departmental projects.
• Manage fatigue management policies and procedures.
• Manage quality certifications, license renewals and audit reports.
• Manage teams in the workplace.
• Motivate colleagues at organisational level to develop innovative solutions for driving change.
• Plan internal audit schedules for quality, safety and health, and customers.
• Review WSH action plan to ensure all stakeholders' expectations are met.
• Review business processes improvement solutions to determine effectiveness.
• Review environmental protection policies and procedures.
• Set organisational WSH strategy to manage compliance rates.

• Relevant university degree
• Certified and licensed HSE
• At least 10 years relevant experience of which 3 years in a manager capacity is required
• Fast learner, can-do attitude, self-motivate, independent, KPIs driven
• Hands-on, good with project management
