Bedok - Cloud Business Development Director
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Business Development Director to drive growth and expand our Cloud services portfolio. This strategic role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, market trends and enterprise sales. The ideal candidate will build and nurture high-value partnerships, identify business opportunities and lead go-to-market initiatives to increase revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities
Lead generation and sales cycle management
Actively seek out new cloud computing customers through market research, networking, and lead generation strategies to identify potential business opportunities.
Customer relationship building
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing clients to understand their cloud needs and address concerns.
Solution selling
Present tailored cloud solutions to clients based on their specific business requirements, highlighting the value proposition and benefits of cloud adoption.
Market analysis and strategy development
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity to identify market opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
Contract negotiation and closing deals
Negotiate contract terms with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and close deals within sales targets.
Account management
Manage existing customer accounts by proactively addressing their needs, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Partner collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams (technical sales, solution architects, customer success) to provide comprehensive support to clients throughout the sales cycle.
Sales forecasting and reporting:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess growth and performance metrics, ensuring revenue targets are met. Provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
Qualifications & Skills Required- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within the cloud computing industry.
- Expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.) including features, pricing models, and use cases.
- Ability to understand client technical requirements, translate them into appropriate cloud solutions and to effectively present these cloud solutions to the clients.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market trends and opportunities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with minimal supervision.
