Dental Clinic Assistant Manager - Toa Payoh

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be courteous exhibit genuine concern for patients and visitors, and always conduct yourself appropriately and professionally.
  • Perform frontline operations of the clinic including patient registration, payments, booking of appointments, financial counselling, and stock-taking.
  • Manage customers' expectations and uphold good service standards.
  • Perform administrative duties that are pertinent to clinic operations and standards.
  • Provide support to the Dental Director and all dentists, including visiting dentists.
  • Promote a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to patient care by providing a coordinated and integrated patient-centric service from all departments.
  • Monitor, improve, and document systems and processes to continuously enhance organizational effectiveness and the quality of patient care.
  • Ensure that medications are administered per guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage patient case notes and dental records, including maintaining a current and accurate filling system, preparing new case notes, and retrieving and filing back case notes.
  • Ensure a high standard of dental care through continuous learning. Conduct and participate in continuing dental education activities within the Company, including training/ orientation of dental nurses, front desk, etc.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, exhibitions, and any other functions that may be assigned to you from time to time.
  • Organise and prioritise own workload to ensure the provision of quality service.
  • Keep accurate and complete records consistent with regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate an organised, effective and timely approach to all tasks.
  • Recognise when colleagues need assistance and offer practical support.
  • Work in a way that minimises risks to the health, safety and security of self and others, and support others in maintaining health, safety and security.
  • Clean and restore work areas, leaving them in a suitable condition for future use.
  • Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and access to patient-related information (either electronic or paper-based) is restricted to the needs of work.
  • Carry out activities that are consistent and in compliance with applicable external legislation, and regulations.
  • Promote satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders.

Requirement:

  • Degree in any relevant discipline
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare or service industry, with 4 years in a supervisory position
  • Self-motivated with an analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Possess leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a team
  • Relevant work experience in healthcare, hospitality or service industries will be an advantage
  • Able to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
