AT Cost Program Manager - Geylang
As project manager at Micron Technology, you will drive strategic and tactical initiatives to deliver successful cost reduction & optimization efforts for Assembly & Test (AT) Operations. You will partner closely with (but not limited to) manufacturing sites, procurement, Finance, Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, Project Management Office (PMO), Business Units & leadership teams to drive cost reduction efforts across an array of topics that include (but not limited to) Materials, Outside Services, Labor Productivity, Maxout, Capital Optimization & Revenue Gain.
You will be accountable to develop & mentor the cost team members and global linked members (including leadership) in promoting & applying tools, processes, key metrics required to sustain & grow the cost program. You will be an advocate to share Best Known Methods across the network and help identify additional opportunities.You will ensure a timely and effective communication and issue at various levels of leadership.
As the owner of a key big rock network program, this central role requires a keen sense of ownership, flexibility and ability to maintain global relationship, willingness of flexible timings, good communication and presentation skills, & an organized & structured qualitative data driven program management.
Responsibilities and Tasks- Own & lead a sustainable cost savings program for Micron’s Assembly & Test (AT) Operations
- Lead the definition, communication & tracking of yearly/quarterly/monthly targets for network and sites/teams.
- Define, sustain, and improve the business processes to manage, track and report BE cost & capital reduction efforts, savings and metrics.
- Lead Gap Closure on key metrics through deep dives and workshops as required. Track Action Items / Initiatives Towards Closure
- Initiate and Collaborate with Multifunctional teams (Sites and Central Teams) comprising of Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Project Management and Business Units on an array of cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop & Maintain (Tableau) Dashboards required to communicate the required metrics as part of program management.
- Ensure single source of tracking of projects through Tickets and Scouts platforms
- Ensure effective and timely communication on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly communication through leadership updates and Newsletters. Provide support on communication to the Business Units as required. Develop & Maintain Effective Playbooks for ease of Communication
- Lead (regular & adhoc) Meeting Forums with various partners (including leadership) to track and communicate status of projects and programs.
- Drive Best-Known-Methods (BKM) based project sharing across the network & make it a key priority.
- Maintain knowledge on AT Processes and systems used. Keep abreast with continually changing business plans and roadmaps that affect costs.
- Demonstrate expertise in project & program management, to deliver quality valuable output, on time.
- Lead / Participate in Should Cost Model and CleanSheet Analysis to find opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations through clear, logical & data-driven information to be used in any decision-making process.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to align network issues and standardize calculation methodologies across the network
- Negotiate and defuse stressful situations to achieve optimal outcomes for Micron, through effective conflict resolution/data driven decision making process
- Bring up, in a timely and an appropriate manner, any issues or roadblocks to supervisor and other leaders
- Guide team members within team and global partners towards cost culture.
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Finance
- Experiences in driving strategic and tactical initiatives to deliver successful cost reduction & optimization efforts for semiconductor, preferably in Assembly & Test (AT) Operations
- Knowledge of Assembly and Test Process Areas and Equipment being used within the micron network
- Strong Understanding of Micron’s Planning process and financial budgeting assumptions.
