Construction Manager - Choa Chu Kang

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of FPSO construction, integration, and commissioning activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Oversee and manage FPSO construction, integration, and commissioning activities at fabrication yards and offshore sites.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to resolve construction challenges.

• Enforce HSE policies and ensure all activities comply with industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and toolbox talks to maintain a safe work environment.

• Ensure construction activities adhere to project specifications, industry standards (API, ASME, DNV, ABS), and regulatory requirements.
• Work with QA/QC teams to manage inspections, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.

• Lead and supervise site teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve issues related to fabrication, mechanical completion, and installation.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.

• Monitor and control construction costs, material usage, and manpower allocation.
• Optimize resources to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare progress reports and presentations for senior management.

• Work closely with commissioning teams to transition from construction to startup and operations.
• Ensure proper documentation and handover procedures for completed systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction management, with 5+ years in FPSO projects.

• Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of FPSO topsides, hull structures, piping, and mechanical systems.

• Project Management Skills:Strong ability to manage contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

• HSE & Quality Focus:Experience enforcing safety protocols and risk management on construction sites.

• Leadership & Communication:Proven ability to lead large construction teams and coordinate with clients and senior management.
