Job Scope
Curriculum Development- Manage and review Chinese language content to ensure alignment with Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum and examination requirements.
- Plan, develop, and write high-quality curriculum materials, including lesson plans, teacher guides, and hands-on learning activities outlined in the Scheme of Work.
- Teach up to 16 hours per week to primary-level students.
- Adopt innovative teaching methods to create an engaging and effective learning experience for students.
- Cover lessons for colleagues during absences (e.g., sick leave or vacation).
- Provide regular updates to parents about student progress.
- Upload lesson summaries onto the parent portal after each lesson.
- Mark and evaluate students' work to track their progress.
- Prepare detailed student progress reports twice a year.
- Participate in on-the-job training to acquire skills for teaching and managing neuro-diverse students, including those with dyslexia, autism, and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD).
Qualifications
Educational Background:Degree holder with at least 2 years of experience teaching Chinese language in MOE schools or Chinese enrichment centers.
Curriculum Development: At least 3 years of experience in writing Chinese language curriculum for the primary school level.
Well-versed with the MOE Chinese language curriculum framework for Primary School Students.
Language Proficiency: Excellent spoken and written skills in the Chinese language.
Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
