Geylang - Events Manager, Contract 2 years

Responsibilities:
- Manage and support corporate and social events by planning and overseeing the end-to-end execution in virtual, physical and hybrid settings
- Preparation and management of events’/projects’ operating budget, vendors and procurement process
- Follow up on sponsorship leads and assist in monitoring of accounts/entitlements
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as part of events planning and management, which includes logistical arrangements, giving inputs and suggestions while ensuring event requirements are met and live event execution.
- Manage and support events/projects led by the department to ensure timely and effective progress
- Support team members’ events/projects to meet targets
- Support relevant stakeholders in liaising, planning and managing partner-driven events.
- Adhering to internal financial timelines such as preparing financial documents and payments to vendors
- Sourcing of multiple items for vendors’ evaluation and selection (Evaluation of Quotation) for events
- Managing tight timelines and multiple different stakeholders
- Degree/Diploma in Events Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in events management, including 3 years of curating and managing high-profile dining events.
- Experience in organising virtual, hybrid, and physical events, with knowledge of video production preferred.
- Proven ability to manage high-profile events, with protocols for handling senior-level engagements.
- Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills, with the ability to build networks and collaborate effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities, with proficiency in IT tools.
- Ability to prioritise and plan work activities in an organised manner, able to multi-task and work under pressure, ensuring timely delivery of assignments.
- High attention to detail, demonstrating sound work ethics, discretion and accuracy.
- Ability to manage different stakeholders to meet their requirements and to collaborate with them to achieve the intended results of the events.
- Ability to manage and act as a point of contact between external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that requirements for the event are met.
- Ability to manage events/projects with experience and lead with confidence, and to act, respond and solve ad hoc situations during the events/projects to keep things moving
- Meticulous, resourceful and innovative with a positive work attitude
