Operations Management Trainee (1 Year Contract) - Toa Payoh

As a Management Trainee, you will undergo On-the-Job Training (OJT) across various roles at our centres. You will work closely with managers and staff under live operational conditions to develop a deep understanding of service standards, operational efficiency, and leadership in outdoor experiential learning.Your training will involve planning, staffing, and managing different aspects of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and guide course participants on outdoor skills.
- Facilitate training courses in accordance with course syllabi.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of course participants.
- Assist in the preparation, organization, and delivery of activities and events both on and off the water.
- Adhere strictly to all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting wear and tear.
- Take personal responsibility for the upkeep and repair of equipment.
- Provide prompt and professional responses to patron's needs, inquiries, and concerns.
- Develop a strong rapport with the staffs and work with them on their development.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or higher, preferably in Business/Events Management, Tourism/Hospitality, Sports Science, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Personality & Soft Skills:
- Passionate about outdoor activities and inspiring others.
- A strong team player with multitasking abilities.
- Able to do public speaking in group setting
- Willingness to lead teams in discussions and projects
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Confident, energetic, and comfortable with public speaking and customer interactions.
- Willing to learn and possesses excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Experience in running camps and team-building programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges effectively.
- Willingness to work overtime or travel for training or projects as required.
- Mentally resilient and adaptable to dynamic work conditions.
- Willing to stay overnight for camps.
- Professional, positive, and a team-oriented mindset.

- Physically fit to engage in outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and expeditions.
- Singaporeans/PR Preferred .
Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory):
- Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence (PPCDL)
- Class 3 Driving License
- Watersports-Related Certification
- Standard First Aid with CPR and AED
Additional Considerations:
- Additional leadership or management certifications (e.g., WSQ) are advantageous.
