Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to oversee and manage regulatory compliance and provide risk advisory services. This role is crucial in ensuring the business adheres to all legal and regulatory obligations, particularly those set by SGX and MAS.The Compliance Manager will serve as the primary liaison with government authorities, ensuring internal control policies align with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance & Advisory
- Ensure compliance with SGX, MAS, Listing rules, financial regulations and PDPA.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory updates, advising senior management on necessary actions.
- Act as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies and stock exchange authorities.
- Oversee corporate governance, ensuring compliance with disclosure and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing compliance risks across business operations.
- Develop sustainability report to meet GDI standard.
- Risk Management & Policy Implementation
- Develop risk philosophy and risk profiles and conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate risks.
- Implement compliance policies and frameworks to ensure adherence across all departments.
- Review contracts, agreements, and SGX announcement and disclosures.
- Ensure all business transactions, contracts, and vendor agreements meet compliance standards.
- Internal Audits & Controls
- Conduct internal compliance audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on any compliance breaches or emerging risks to management.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of compliance reports for audit readiness.
- Training & Stakeholder Communication
- Educate internal teams on compliance requirements and regulatory changes.
- Work with senior management to integrate compliance best practices into business operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with external and internal auditors, regulators, and legal advisors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management.
- Prior experience in a Singapore listed company or Big 4 advisory firm is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SGX & MAS regulations, and corporate governance practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when liaising with regulatory bodies.
Ability to work independently and proactively address compliance challenges.
