You will need to be able to collaborate with stakeholders across the group to ensure buy-in on strategic data initiatives and define data platform processes and best practices. You will also need to be a strong communicator and influencer, able to consult and influence digital application teams and provide training and share best practices across teams.
What you do Contribute to the roadmap to transform data architecture focusing on scalability, performance, and flexibility Maintain data architecture framework, standards, and principles Contribute to reference architecture and architectural designs solution context diagram and conceptual data model Work closely with data engineering team, Business Analysts, and support the design aligning with the bank's data architecture standards and principles Consult and influence digital application teams regarding solutions Provide training and share best practices across teams regarding data architecture design and solution implementation Develop and apply industry best practice technology, design, and methodology approaches to design bank's data architecture Who you work with The Data Architect role is part of the Data Architecture team in OCBC Group Operations and Technology (GO&T) division.
You will work closely with data engineering teams, Business Analysts, digital application teams, and other stakeholders across the bank to enable large-scale machine learning and analytics use cases. Qualifications Who you are Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.5-8 years of experience in designing and building high-performance data architectures Experience in cloud-based data architecture and data governance is an advantage Experience in designing data architectures that support real-time and batch use-cases Knowledge of data governance principles and standards Experience in implementing data governance and data quality standards Experience in cloud-based data architecture and data governance Familiarity with DevOps / DataOps / MLOps concepts Strong experience with traditional data technologies (ODS, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse) Experience in designing data patterns to support micro-service based application architecture Knowledge of container-based big data architectures and Kubernetes Experience with big data technologies (Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark) Expertise in RDBMS (Teradata/Oracle, PostgreSQL, Vertica, etc), PL/SQL, data modeling & ETL/ELT Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that enable tangible business benefits TOGAF/DAMA certification is an advantage Who we are Singapore's longest established bank, we've been helping people and businesses get what they want from life since 1932.
