Our client is seeking a highly capable Project Manager (Mechanical) with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and proven experience managing construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, quality assurance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and manage all mechanical-related aspects of the construction works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute mechanical works for construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate and oversee site activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines, technical specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and progress tracking tools.
  • Supervise installation and commissioning of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, pumps, and other equipment.
  • Liaise with consultants, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor budgets, manage cost control measures, and ensure resource optimization.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and implement corrective measures to avoid delays and quality issues.
  • Prepare project reports, documentation, and progress presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (e.g., BCA, LTA, NEA) and company standards.
  • Lead and motivate site teams, ensuring high performance and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building services, and construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and local authority requirements (BCA, LTA, HDB, etc.).
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and technical drawing review.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and time management abilities.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Preferably able to start within short notice period.
