As a Senior Computer Vision & SLAM Engineer, this role designs and optimizes vSLAM systems with advanced feature extraction, multi-view geometry, sensor fusion, and CUDA-based acceleration, ensuring real-time performance and high-precision localization in autonomous systems.

- Work hours: Mon-Fri, 9am - 6pm
- Salary: up to $9,500 + VB (2 to 3 months)
The Job:
Visual SLAM (vSLAM)- Architect and develop high-performance vSLAM systems for multi-camera, high-resolution setups.
- Optimize visual feature extraction, sensor data association, and accelerate performance with CUDA and Tensor Core techniques.
- Design algorithms for data integrity validation and sensor fusion (IMU, Encoder, and others).
- Enhance controller hardware performance for system stability and efficiency.
- Improve the robustness, speed, and scalability of vSLAM algorithms to meet real-time operational requirements with effective validation and testing.
- Develop advanced algorithms for autonomous navigation, including path planning, obstacle avoidance, and efficient docking strategies.
- Implement real-time navigation solutions based on LiDAR, camera, and other sensor data.
- Optimize and tune navigation and docking algorithms to balance accuracy, speed, and computational efficiency.
- Build software bridges ensuring smooth integration and communication between system modules.
The Talent:
For vSLAM Focus- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or related fields) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced C++ and Python skills with a strong background in 3D computer vision, multi-view geometry, and SLAM/SfM.
- Practical experience with CUDA, GPU optimization, sensor calibration, and multi-sensor data synchronization.
- Strong foundation in multi-view geometry, linear algebra, probabilistic estimation, and familiarity with libraries like g2o, GTSAM, or Ceres.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS, with hands-on experience in motion planning (A*, D*, RRT, SLAM).
- Solid understanding of real-time systems, control theory, robot kinematics, and dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience in autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, docking strategies, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
