Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing and implementing data solutions on Databricks, with expertise in lakehouse architecture requirements. This role will require collaboration with various stakeholders to tailor solutions that meet the organization’s business needs while leveraging cloud and data architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Implementation:
• Design and implement scalable Databricks solutions that align with the lakehouse architecture principles.
• Develop and document the specifications for the medallion architecture to enhance data quality and accessibility.
• Cloud & Data Architecture:
• Collaborate with cloud architects to design robust cloud infrastructure to support data workflows and storage.
• Define and implement data architecture principles including data modeling, data flow engineering, and integration.
• Ingestion Processes:
• Specify and document the ingestion process for various data sources, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes to facilitate efficient data movement into the lakehouse environment.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business users, data engineers, and cloud architects to ensure solution alignment with organizational goals.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in data architecture and cloud solutions.
• Recommend optimizations to the existing data solutions and architectures to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Documentation & Training:
• Create and maintain documentation for data architecture, designs, and best practices.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders on data solutions and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or Solution Architect with a focus on Databricks and Lakehouse solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure focus) and their data services.
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data ingestion methods.
• Familiarity with the medallion architecture framework and best practices.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala, and experience with data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Databricks certification or relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices.
