Application Support Engineer

One of our key clients in the financial services sector is seeking to hire an Application Support Engineer. This individual will be responsible for providing Level 2 technical support and must possess a robust background in Java development.
Key Responsibilities:
L2 Production Support:
Deliver comprehensive Level 2 production support for Java-based applications. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis:
Perform detailed troubleshooting to diagnose problems, followed by thorough root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Develop and implement effective technical solutions to ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
Technical Solutions Implementation:
Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes, enhancements, and updates to applications. Ensure that solutions are aligned with best practices and organizational standards.
Mission-Critical Systems Support:
Support and maintain mission-critical systems that form the backbone of the organization. Ensure high availability and performance of these systems to meet business needs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of support activities, incidents, and resolutions. Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on system performance and issue resolution.
