About the role
Asiatic Fire System Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our growing team. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of complex instrumentation systems for our fire protection and safety solutions.This is a full-time position based in the Joo Koon West Region.
What you'll be doing- Designing, developing, and implementing advanced instrumentation systems for fire detection, alarm, and suppression equipment
- Configuring, testing, and troubleshooting instrumentation components to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Providing technical support and training to installation and maintenance teams
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate instrumentation systems with other building automation and control systems
- Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to fire safety instrumentation
- Analysing system data and generating reports to support continuous improvement efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Engineer, preferably in the fire protection or building automation industry
- Proven expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of advanced instrumentation systems, including PLC programming and SCADA integration
- Strong understanding of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., SS 545, SS 578, SS 586)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry developments
