Operations Manager, Construction Industry - Woodlands

The Operations Manager manages construction activities and their progress. He/she oversees the quality control and safety matters of the project. He/she will be required to manage the administration of the project. The construction manager will be working mostly in an outdoor environment.
Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.
- Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate activities with subcontractors under project schedules and contract requirements.
- Manage the budget and expenditure of the project to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Manage resources required on site
- Monitor the quality of construction to ensure compliance with building control regulations.
- Monitor the progress of construction to ensure it adheres to the project timeline.
- Negotiate with relevant parties to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Plan work schedules to ensure project plans are carried out as planned.
- Prepare reports to track the progress and cost of the project.
- Prepare tenders and contract bids.
- Supervise site labour force to ensure project operations comply with standards and regulations.
Requirements
Degree in civil engineering or related
Minimum 10 years experience in construction operations of which at least 4 years in a supervisory role
Familiar with and able to read construction drawingsPleasant and articulate
Able to communicate in English, and local dialects
Good coordination and planning skills with time management
