Maintenance Supervisor - Toa Payoh
Job Brief
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support the Operations function across our schools. You will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision. The Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the DCEO. This role is broad in scope and requires flexibility and adaptability to be able to support the day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth running of our four campuses.
Responsibilities
Include the following, but not limited to:
- Oversee the repairs and maintenance requirements for all campuses.
- Undertake repairs and maintenance tasks where appropriate and safe – for example those tasks considered appropriate to be completed by a handyman and light gardening activities.
- Manage the procurement process for all maintenance and other campus related activities, including service agreements, campus equipment and supplies and ad-hoc repairs and contracts.
- Assist with set up for school events when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership team.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a relevant role
- A qualification and/or certification in a relevant area of expertise (for example engineering, carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and excellent verbal communication skills in Mandarin
- Strong negotiation skills for supplier management
- Reasonable technology skills for use of email, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good team player with proven ability to work independently in a multi-tasking environment
- Own transportation to move between campuses would be viewed favourably
