Purpose of Job

The Programme Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of services and outreach activities for families, children, and youth in the community. Working closely with internal teams and community partners, the Coordinator helps ensure that programmes are well-organised, responsive to community needs, and run smoothly.

Key responsibilities include supporting community engagement efforts, assisting in partnership-building, handling basic monitoring and reporting, and providing administrative and logistical support. This role contributes to the meaningful delivery of programmes and performs additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Department Head, or Team Leads.

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Programme Support & Coordination
Assist in planning, coordinating, and running programmes and outreach activities for families, children, and youth to support their well-being and development.
  • Community Engagement
Engage families and community stakeholders to encourage participation and ensure programmes are responsive to community needs.
  • Partnerships & Collaboration
Support efforts to build and maintain relationships with schools, community partners, and volunteers to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
Assist with basic data entry, tracking attendance, collecting feedback, and preparing simple reports for programme review.
  • Administrative Support
Provide administrative support for programme logistics such as event setup, procurement, and coordination of resources.
  • To undertake duties assigned by the Executive Director, Head and Team Leads.

Requirements

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in community work or program coordination, preferably within the family, children and youth services sector.
  • Experience in programme management, group work, and community engagement is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with programme evaluation methods and community-based service delivery is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Social Work, Social Services, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification or training in family support, child and youth work, or community services is preferred.

Others:

  • Required some travelling and home visit to different locations.
  • May require occasional work on weeknights and weekends.
Competencies
  • Passion for working with families, children and youth
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Languages (English, Chinese/dialects, Malay) will be an advantage.
  • Strong administrative skills (in Microsoft Excel/Word/Powerpoint, Google Workspace)
  • Basic design skills (in Canva or similar apps)
