Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack / AWS Cloud / Government Project) - Toa Payoh

We are seeking passionate and forward-thinking Lead Software Engineer to join our innovation team. These roles are ideal for experienced professionals who thrive in an Agile environment, identifying operational challenges and developing bespoke solutions that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and security.

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri
• Working Location: Red Hill
• Salary Package: Up to $13k (basic) + AWS + VB

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions using modern technologies.
• Identify operational challenges and architect solutions to enhance system efficiency and security.
• Research and implement emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate React frontend with NodeJS backend, optimize SQL DB, and leverage Elasticsearch.
• Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for seamless software releases.
• Utilize TypeScript and Python for backend development and automation tasks.
• Implement Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to efficiently manage cloud environments.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, Agile best practices, and technical excellence.

Requirements:

• Singaporean only.
• Over 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
• Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Technology.
• Hands-on experience with React (Frontend), NodeJS (Backend), SQL DB, and Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python for backend services and automation.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Strong understanding of GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Proven ability to lead Agile teams, drive best practices, and mentor engineers (Tech Lead role).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
