Job Title Manager/Senior Manager, Institute of Learning (IL)

Reports to : Head of ILR (Institute of Learning & Research)Supervises : Executive, Senior Executive, Researchers
Job Specification
Qualification: Degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare related educational program management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Special Aptitude and Knowledge:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and research projects
- Familiarize with manpower and logistic planning of training programs
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Good knowledge of financial and budget management, government grants for education and training (e.g., AIC, SSG)
- Overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the institute’s programs and services.
- Manage key functions, lead teams, and implement policies to ensure the institute’s effectiveness and growth.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute strategies that align with the institute’s mission and objectives.
- Lead a team (including admin staff, trainers and researchers) to develop, implement and evaluate programmes (both training and research), ensure the quality and successful delivery of programmes
- Manage and develop the competence of the team members.
- To work with other departments to facilitate audits by internal and external auditors
- Any other duties as required by Head of ILR
- Program Management
- Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of programs (both training and research) and services.
- Ensure that programs are aligned with the institute’s mission and meet the needs of learners.
- Monitor and assess program performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Strategic Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the institute’s educational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to set short-term and long-term priorities for the institute’s programs.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and manage a team of executives, trainers, researchers and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Identify training and development needs for team members and provide appropriate resources and support.
- Quality Assurance
- Develop and enforce standards for program quality and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
- Budget and Resource Management
- Apply grants and manage budgets for educational and research programs
- Oversee resource allocation and ensure efficient use of financial and human resources.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including clinical institutes within SAMH, industry partners, educational institutions, and other community organizations.
- Represent the institute at conferences, meetings, and other events.
- Innovation and Improvement
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in education and research.
- Initiate and lead new projects to enhance the institute’s offerings and operational effectiveness.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare and present reports on program performance, financial status, and other relevant metrics.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director from time to time.
