Positional Objectives
- To contribute towards improving the safety & health, quality, environmental and delivery management processes (SEQD) for construction projects in “Kajima Overseas Asia (KOA) (*1) Group Subsidiaries (hereinafter KGS)(*2)” in Southeast Asia and India, as well as identifying and addressing risks in these areas early in individual construction projects in each KGS to ensure safety during construction stage, quality and on-time delivery to the client.
- Therefore, the person in this position will assist the (Sr.) Manager and GM of KOA in providing instruction and advice to the project team in KGS through attendance at various meetings and site inspections. He/she will develop, implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure the project team reports accurately. The position will also review, register and share near-miss cases and accidents related to construction projects within the KOA Group to alert the KOA Group and eventually contribute to the prevention of serious accidents.

Key Responsibilities and Duties- To assist (Sr.) Manager and General Manager of Building Construction (1) Department of KOA.
- To review near-miss cases and the accident reports (for both safety and quality) submitted by KOA Group Subsidiaries (hereinafter KGS) and prepare them until they are ready to launch the report in the KOA Accident Report Portal.
- To check and monitor the Visual Project Tracking system (such as HoloBuilder and Openspace) data, identify issues/problems in terms of safety and quality, comment on them, and communicate with KGS’s staff to resolve them.
- Check the QAQC data on the portal site and highlight to the KGS staff if the data itself or the check sheet is improper.
- To assist the (Sr.) Manager and General Manager of Building Construction (1) Department of KOA with their attendance at the following various meetings to review/advise/make alternative ideas on the other countries’ design and construction planning in terms of design itself, method, schedule, quality assurance system, and safety matters.

⑦ Design review meeting 1- To assist (Sr.) Manager and General Manager of Building Construction (1) Department of KOA, with their support of the KGS’ project, including a tender project in terms of design, construction planning and site activities itself by directly communicating with staff in the KGS.
- To assist (Sr.) Manager and General Manager of Building Construction (1) Department of KOA with their support for educating the local construction staff of KGS by performing or arranging on-line seminars, working group meetings, etc.
- If required, business trips to other countries to support the tender and project in terms of the above items from 1 to 7.
- To innovate and participate in the review of corporate policies and procedures after understanding HSE policies and procedures in all KGS.
- To communicate and liaise with project teams of KGS to ensure all HSE responsibilities are undertaken
- Participate in industry forums, training sessions, and workshops to stay current on legislation, codes, and contractual trends.
- Coordinate and execute job matters related to Safety Training at KGS projects, including, but not limited to, initial coordination with KGS for training schedule/ arrangement, scheduling business trips, and travelling to KGS countries to carry out required training.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in building construction, including coordination roles, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent knowledge of risk analysis and risk management.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
- Excellent in-depth knowledge of best practices, laws, and industry trends.
