Trade Finance & Sales Specialist (ID: 664128) - Geylang
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trade finance products and services, excellent communication skills, and a sales-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Finance Management:
- Facilitate and manage trade finance products such as Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees, Trade Credit Insurance, and Export/Import Financing.
- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and customers to ensure smooth and timely execution of trade finance transactions.
- Provide guidance on trade finance risks, compliance, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessments on trade transactions.
- Monitor and reconcile trade finance transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Sales & Business Development:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities in global trade and finance.
- Understand customers’ trade finance needs and propose appropriate financial solutions that drive sales and business growth.
- Support the creation of proposals and contracts for trade finance products in coordination with the sales team.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide input on pricing strategies, terms, and negotiation tactics to drive sales growth.
Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients seeking trade finance solutions.
- Offer continuous support to customers throughout the lifecycle of trade finance transactions, from pre-sale to post-sale.
- Regularly engage with clients to ensure their needs are met and to identify potential upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Conduct periodic reviews of client accounts to assess satisfaction and explore further business opportunities.
Risk and Compliance:
- Ensure all trade finance transactions comply with internal policies, international trade regulations, and financial standards.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to sales teams regarding the financial risks associated with trade transactions.
- Stay up to date with changes in international trade regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the organization is always aligned with industry standards.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on trade finance activities, sales performance, and business development initiatives to senior management.
- Analyze trade finance trends and market conditions to provide actionable insights to both sales and finance teams.
- Track the effectiveness of trade finance solutions and sales initiatives to optimize performance.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field.
- Proven experience in trade finance operations (Letters of Credit, trade loans, guarantees, etc.) and understanding of international trade processes.
- Experience in sales support, client relationship management, and business development.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments and documentation involved in trade finance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
