About the Role:In this role, you'll be at the heart of our customer operations, playing a crucial part in managing customer inquiries, resolving complex orders, and coordinating with different teams to ensure timely deliveries and optimal inventory levels. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customer queries (e.g., documentation, shipment status, and order resolution)
- Managing and responding to customer inquiries in a time-sensitive manner
- Overseeing the handling and processing of shipment orders
- Collaborating with overseas agents and service providers to request rates and service information
- Managing invoicing, receivables, and generating quotations
- Ensuring seamless delivery of shipments and maintaining accurate client records
- Assisting in the smooth implementation of new business initiatives, including customer profiles and operational procedures, alongside the sales team
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a customer service or operations role within a freight forwarding environment (or similar)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with clients and partners
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle complex inquiries and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations
