Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional growth
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing and statutory reporting, including the preparation and review of cashflow statement, accounting schedules and bank reconciliation.
- Manage daily accounting operations of a portfolio of companies
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policy and procedures.
- Review of intercompany reconciliation and ensure no discrepancies in month-end balances.
- Liaise with AR & AP Shared Services team on accounting issues for period closing, collections and payments.
- Liaise with Group Finance, Treasury and Internal auditors
- Coordinate and manage statutory audit for the division, which includes preparation of financial statements as well as liaising with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance of financial records with corporate and statutory requirements.
- Handle tax matters which includes quarterly GST filing as well as corporate tax.
- Work closely with management to provide financial insight and support decision making.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and systems to improve efficiency
- Support other departments with financial-related tasks as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountancy with Professional accounting certification preferred.
- At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in managerial capacity.
- Prior external audit experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirement
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong team player and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions and regions.
- Strong business acumen, detail-oriented and hands-on.
