Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Electrical)

Responsibilities:

• To Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as recommended by OEM, best industry practices or by experience.
• To maintain and improve the documentation and other systems existing in the plant.
• Monitor and review asset life expectancy.
• To identify and report on plant and equipment in efficiencies, propose and implement improvements.
• Designing short term engineering solutions that efficiently resolve problems in the plant.
• Liaison with and providing technical support to operations and maintenance staff.
• Managing and coordinating plant engineering projects, including plant overhauls, ensuring desired outcomes are achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance programs, including major overhauls, and providing information and advice in respect of Contractors’ work performance.
• Providing training for others in area of technical expertise.
• To plan, maintain and procure spares required for maintenance including prepare budgets for the section.
• To ensure compliance of all regulatory requirements including the requirements of cyber security.
• Responsible for coordination in maintaining ISO27001 and Cybersecurity Act 2018.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications. Qualifications recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore, are highly favored.
• Must be familiar with Variable Speed Drives, Generators , generator transformers, 230kV switchyard, LV/MV Switchgears, LT/HT Motors, Relays, Motorized Actuators and good troubleshooting skills in electrical systems.
• Must be proficient in understanding electrical drawings, relevant software.
• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, with 3 years of supervisory experience, within a Power plant , process plant or related Industries.
• The incumbent must have working experience in Singapore.

• 5-day work week. Must be on standby after-office hours to attend to Plant issues where necessary.
