Key Responsibilities
The Fire Safety and Security Manager will be a key member of the Food Solutions HSSE team, serving as the Fire Safety Lead for Food Solutions. The incumbent will be appointed as the Fire Safety Manager for the Catering Centre and will work closely with Fire Safety Managers across the Food Solutions business units to implement and sustain an effective Fire Safety Programme.
In addition to fire safety responsibilities, the role will also support the business unit’s security operations, contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of the Food Solutions Security Management System.
Key Responsibilities- To fulfil the duties of Fire Safety Manager and Security Manager for the appointed premise; working closely with building/site management to advise and implement fire safety performance standards
- Lead and drive the Fire Safety Programme in all Food Solutions SG sites and lead the appointed site FSMs to ensure Food Solutions Singapore has an aligned, reliable and tested Fire Safety Programme.
- Carry out regular Fire Risk Assessment of the premises and recommend areas of improvement for all Food Solutions premises in cooperation with respective site FSMs
- Provide security support for local aviation and physical security operations in Inflight Catering, working closely with the appointed security providers
- Provide guidance to Business Unit on security procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory and control requirements
- Manage key meetings to present performance metrics and updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of status and initiatives
- Support the Business Unit in the implementation, oversight and review of SATS Incident Management, Inspection and Assurance Progamme.
- Carry out internal HSSE audits and assist in related external audits
- Assist in internal and external investigations, ensuring thorough and accurate reporting of findings
- Maintain liaison with government, industry, security professionals to maintain strategic relationships for information sharing and networking
- Support local HSSE initiatives and contribute to the overall promotion of a safe and secure working environment.
- Support in safety data management/HSSE system;
- Perform other duties as directed by the reporting manager
- Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management/Mechanical/Electrical/Building or equivalent.
- FSM Certificate registered with SCDF with at least 3 Years of experience as appointed FSM for manufacturing facilities. Experience with Food processing plants will be advantageous
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in Corporate security management. Experience in aviation sector will be advantageous.
- Meticulous and comfortable handling data and statistics.
- Be able to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision;
- Having an open and objective mindset when addressing issues and/or offering solutions.
- Ability to prioritise work well and having good decisions making skills in a fact paced environment.
- Experienced in Incident Investigation skills & comfortable with use of online systems/Microsoft programmes.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
