Job Description: Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

This role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

1. Project Leadership and Strategy

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
• Develop and implement project management methodologies, best practices, and standards.

1. Team Management

• Manage internal teams and clients remotely, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to team members both located locally and remotely.

1. Stakeholder Communication

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment on project objectives and progress.
• Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership.

1. Risk and Issue Management

• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.

1. Budget and Timeline Management

• Prepare detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor project performance to ensure adherence to timelines and financial constraints.
• Manage change requests and scope adjustments effectively.

1. Quality Assurance

• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with project objectives.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field. eg. PMP certification.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in project management. Prior experience as a Business Analyst and / or System Analyst would be an advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Bugzilla) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Other Requirements:
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge in Payment Operations / Workflows / Systems in banks would be an advantage.
• Ability to travel would be an advantage.
