Gondola Supervisor - Geylang

A Gondola Supervisor is responsible to supervise the installation, dismantling, shifting, operating of the Temporary Gondola system. The key responsibilities are:

To supervise - Install, dismantle, shifting, operate, driver of temporary Gondola (Bracket system and Counterweight system).
Carry out regular inspection of Gondola and related equipment as per the daily checklist as per manufactures recommendations
Perform pre-start check of equipment and gears, start-up procedures, shut-down procedures, and emergency procedures
Understand standard components and parts of suspended scaffold including different outriggers and anchorages
Perform rigging, termination of wire ropes and installation of suspended scaffold
Perform visual check of suspended scaffold, braking system, safety devices, anchorage points, wire ropes and related details
Perform troubleshooting of winch/climbing mechanism
Use personal protection equipment (body harness) and lifeline
Continuously inspects, cleans and maintains Gondola platform, bracket, ropes, Wire ropes, Power cables and other Gondola system accessories
Reports any operational problems to the team leader/ Person-in-charged in a timely manner and completes daily reports as required.
Reports unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and injuries to supervisor immediately completes required accident reports form as applicable.
Perform general and emergency repairs and maintenance to all plant and equipment based on skill and experience level.
Review daily logbook, rectify or follow up on all items left unsolved
Ensure compliance with legislated workplace health and safety requirements
Perform equipment repairs as per manufactures recommendations

Skills and Requirements:

Education: Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a Gondola Supervisor
Certificate in Supervise Construction Work (BCSS)
Certificate in Suspended Scaffolding Supervisor
Certificate in Suspended Scaffolding Rigger
Certificate in Work at Height for Supervisors.
