Our client is a large non-profit organisation involved in community healthcare. The Head of Corporate Communications will drive strategic communications initiatives to enhance the organisation’s brand, reputation, and community engagement. This role oversees media relations, corporate image development, public relations, patient relations, volunteer management, and donation management.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for healthcare, and the ability to foster meaningful connections with diverse stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Media Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organisation, managing all media inquiries and interviews.
  • Develop and execute media strategies to ensure positive and accurate coverage of the organisation's activities and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze media trends to identify opportunities and manage risks.

Corporate Image Development:

  • Craft and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that reflects the organisation’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee branding initiatives, ensuring consistency across all platforms and materials.
  • Develop impactful campaigns to enhance public awareness of the organisation’s services and community contributions.

Public Relations:

  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community leaders, and healthcare partners.
  • Plan and execute events such as press conferences, outreach programs, and annual reports.
  • Proactively manage crisis communications and ensure timely, transparent responses.

Patient Relations:

  • Supervise the patient experience team to address feedback, concerns, and compliments.
  • Develop strategies to improve patient satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to align patient communication with overall care objectives.

Volunteer Management:

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of the organisation's volunteers.
  • Create programs to recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions.
  • Ensure alignment of volunteer initiatives with the organisation's goals and community needs.

Donation Management:

  • Lead fundraising campaigns and donor engagement efforts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring transparent communication and accountability.
  • Oversee the management of donations to align with the organisation's priorities and community impact goals.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 8–10 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Proven track record in media management, brand building, and public relations.
  • Experience in donor engagement, fundraising, and volunteer management is a strong advantage.
