Mechanical Design Engineer (R&D) - Bedok - ref. q28369419

We are seeking talented R&D Engineer to assist with the design and customization of our new/existing Vertical milling machine portfolio. In this role, you will be working closely with the R&D team to create functional design concepts, validate designs, and follow through from design stage to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing new products and introducing innovative designs for our existing product series.
• Crafting customized machines to meet the unique needs of our diverse customers.
• Nurturing collaboration across various company departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Production, Supply Chain, Customer Support, etc.
• Mastering the art of designing rigid, high-accuracy structural parts, as well as lightweight components for rapid, high-acceleration applications, working hand-in-hand with our Simulation and Test Engineers.
• Pioneering the development of mechatronic units, integrating Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Servo-electric, and Sensor components to create seamless machine systems.
• Engaging in Concept Design, Structural Simulation, Detailing, Prototyping, Testing, Production, Customer Support, and Monitoring machine performance at our clients' sites.
• Leveraging our dedicated R&D Lab for innovative prototyping.
• Enjoying mentorship from seasoned senior engineers, guiding you on your career path to success.
• Embracing a global perspective by collaborating with an extensive network of Makino R&Ds, Sales Regions, and Key Suppliers.

Experience Required:

• Passion for Product design.
• Excellent Problem-solving skills and able to work hands-on.
• Effective team player who is creative, meticulous, independent and responsible.
• Familiar in 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks and Simulation tools will be an advantage.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
