Operational Risk - Senior Associate (Asset Management)

A leading asset management firm is currently seeking an experienced Operational Risk Analyst to join their team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in risk management to contribute to identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the firm's business operations.
The ideal candidate will have the chance to support the organization in strengthening its risk management framework and drive improvements across various processes. Responsibilities In this role, the Operational Risk Analyst will work closely with different business units to understand the operational risks associated with their activities.
The individual will be involved in identifying and evaluating risks while supporting the development and execution of risk control self-assessments (RCSAs) and other critical risk management processes. The role will require preparing and presenting detailed risk reports to senior management, highlighting any key risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
The successful candidate will also participate in conducting risk assessments for new initiatives, products, and systems to ensure the appropriate risk controls are in place. Additionally, the Operational Risk Analyst will be responsible for investigating risk incidents and recommending corrective actions to enhance the firm's processes and prevent future occurrences.
They will also ensure that the firm's operations comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements The firm is looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in operational risk management, ideally within the asset management or financial services sector.
A bachelor's degree in finance, business, risk management, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, tools, and techniques, and will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Being able to collaborate effectively with different teams at various levels is key. Furthermore, an analytical mindset is crucial, as the role will involve assessing complex risk scenarios and providing practical solutions to address them. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk management in asset management is also important.
