Application Specialist/Manager - Bedok

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Application Specialist/Manager to join our team at SDT Molecular Pte. Ltd. in the East Region. This full-time role is responsible for providing expert-level technical support and training to our clients, ensuring they get the most out of our cutting-edge molecular diagnostics solutions.

• Deliver comprehensive product training and technical support to customers, helping them optimise the use of our reagents, instruments and software
• Respond to customer inquiries and troubleshoot any issues they may encounter in a timely and efficient manner
• Conduct onsite visits to provide hands-on support and guidance to customers as needed
• Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and activitiesWork with suppliers to promote IVD products through workshops, seminars and exhibitions
• Conduct market intelligence research to understand customer application needs, market trends and competitions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in molecular diagnostics technology and industry regulations

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing technical support or application specialist role within the medical/healthcare industry
• Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques and instrumentation, including PCR, next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse range of customers
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to identify and resolve customer issues
• Willingness to travel within the region to provide onsite support and training as needed
• Master or Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences or related studies
